LABIAPLASTY

Surgical reshaping the appearance of the external genitalia

Many women feel self-conscious about the outward appearance of their genitalia.

They view their inner labia as abnormally long causing emotional or psychological distress during intimate encounters and/or while wearing tight-fitting clothing.

In other instances, women undergo a labiaplasty to alleviate symptoms that can arise from increased labia size including pain or discomfort during sexual intercourse as well as interference with exercise and normal daily activities.

Labia Minora

Labial minora reduction surgery involves a plastic surgery technique that reduces the large or uneven labia minora to a smaller, more comfortable size and shape.
The goal is to reduce the labia in a minimally invasive way and preserve the sensitivity and natural appearance of the labia with little to no scarring. The labial pigment can be preserved or removed depending on individual preference.

Labia Majora

The labia majora may have excess tissue due to genetics, childbirth, as part of the aging process or as a result of significant weight loss.

The excess tissue is excised with crescent shaped incisions hidden between the inner and outer labia not only reducing volume but also lifting the skin for a more youthful appearance.

Labia major reduction is often performed in combination with other types of cosmetic gynecologic surgery such as vaginoplasty, hymenoplasty, or clitoral hood reduction.
